A flight nanny into MSP
The nanny carries your puppy in the cabin, never the hold, and hands them to you at the airport. For most Minnesota homes it is the simplest option.

Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies grow up in a family home in Casa Grande, Arizona, and the usual route to Minnesota is a nonstop flight into MSP. Each puppy is $850, and the trip is priced on its own after you reserve.
From the desert to the Twin Cities
By road it is about twenty-five hours from our door to the Twin Cities, which is a lot to ask of a puppy who has only just turned eight weeks. The nonstop from Phoenix Sky Harbor to Minneapolis-St. Paul takes about three and a quarter hours, and several leave every day, so the flight is the plan we suggest for nearly every Minnesota home.
Arizona keeps the same clock all year and Minnesota does not: the Twin Cities run one hour ahead of us in winter and two in summer. A morning departure from Phoenix lands around midday or early afternoon Central time, which matters more than it sounds in December. Compare the travel options.

A USDA certified provider brings the puppy by road over two to three days, with photo updates on the way. In winter it is paused or rescheduled whenever the weather is not safe.
Plenty of Minnesotans spend part of the winter in Arizona. If you are one of them, you can collect in person and skip the airport altogether.
Fly down, meet us at Phoenix Sky Harbor and take the puppy home yourself. Bringing the puppy to the airport costs $100.
The MSP handoff
We plan Minnesota trips around a single nonstop into MSP, because a change of planes adds hours to a puppy’s day. For most families looking at Corgi puppies for sale in MN, that means the handoff happens at the airport and the rest of the journey is a drive.
If you live in Duluth, Rochester, St. Cloud or Mankato, the simplest plan is usually to drive to MSP and meet the flight there. The times below are rough and assume the roads are clear.
| If you live in | Drive from MSP, without heavy traffic |
|---|---|
| Minneapolis and St. Paul | about 20 minutes |
| Bloomington and Eagan | about 15 minutes |
| St. Cloud | about 1 hour 20, up I-94 |
| Mankato | about 1 hour 20, down US-169 |
| Rochester | about 1 hour 20, down US-52 |
| Duluth | about 2 hours 30, up I-35 |
Worth knowing
Which terminal. MSP has two, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and they are separate buildings with their own roads and parking, a light rail ride apart. We confirm the terminal beforehand, and it is worth checking again that morning.
Daylight is the second. In December the sun sets before five in the Twin Cities, and even an early afternoon landing can leave a Duluth family finishing the drive in the dark. We book the earliest sensible flight, because an unhurried hour at the airport beats a late one on I-35.
Then the road home. A snowstorm that leaves the airport running can still make US-52 or I-94 a poor place to be with a new puppy, and if the forecast looks bad for your route we move the date rather than gamble on it.
Summer is the easy season at your end: the heat is our problem, so we leave Casa Grande early.
Winter arrivals
Better than you might expect, as long as the first few weeks are planned for. Many grown Corgis love snow, but an eight-week-old from the desert has never seen any, and the dense adult double coat has not come in yet.
Have the car warm before you go into the terminal, bring a fleece for the carrier, and walk straight back out after the handoff. Introductions to the rest of the family belong in the living room, not the parking ramp.
Before the puppy arrives, shovel a patch of grass close to the door. Fresh snow can be deeper than a Corgi puppy is tall, and a cleared spot makes house training far less of a battle. Keep those early trips outside to a minute or two, then come in and dry off.
Wipe paws after any walk on salted sidewalks, and use a pet-safe ice melt on your own steps. For the rest of the first week, change as little as you can: the food we send home, one warm room, a crate within sight of the family. Everything that travels with the puppy is listed on our health and care page.
Next step
A $300 holding deposit reserves an available puppy and comes off the $850. Once that is done we plan the MSP trip around your town and the season. How our process works.
Before you inquire
A March arrival and a July arrival are different trips to Minnesota, so the season you have in mind is the most useful thing to mention when you write.
